Some models spend years upon years trying to make it into the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. And most never make it. Michelle "Shelly" Jenneke born 23 June 1993 is an Australian hurdler and model, who won a silver medal for the 100 m hurdles at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics. She received worldwide media attention in 2012 for her pre-race warm-up, which involved dancing. She attended The Hills Grammar School. In one interview, she described her hobbies as Australian rules football, soccer and handball.
Jenneke has trained with coach Mick Zisti as a hurdler from the age of 10 at the Cherrybrook Athletics Club. She competed at the Canberra hosted 2008 Pacific School Games in the 90 and 200 metres hurdles.
Jenneke finished 2nd at nationals to qualify for the 2015 World Championships in Beijing (28/05/15) Jenneke got through the heats to make the semi-finals and in her semi she finished 6th, however her reaction time in that semi-final was the quickest of all competitors over the three semi-finals.
Then there are all my friends within Athletics and my training squad who all make Athletics a fantastic experience and a truly enjoyable place to spend time. Winning races is always nice, but for me the motivation is the desire to improve my times and achieve new personal bests, whilst having a great time doing it. If you watched the Olympics last year, you’ll remember Australian track and field star Michelle Jenneke and her curvy good looks. Well, she’s back posting her goods on Instagram trying to stay on our minds in between Olympic events.
